NetTutor: Faculty guide

NetTutor is available through your Canvas course site!

Are you a student? You can also access NetTutor through the LRC Canvas Page. You may need to enroll here, at no cost to you, for full access!


3 Types of Online Tutoring Available to Students:

  • Immediate assistance using Ask NetTutor.
  • Drop off a question and receive feedback from a tutor in the NetTutor Q&A Center: 
  • Submit your paper, lab report, or technical writing for review at the NetTutor Paper Center:

How NetTutor works for Students:

 

Adding Net Tutor to your Course:

  1. Open your course page on your canvas site.
  2. Click on the Settings link at the bottom of the left-hand text column.
  3. Select the navigation tab at the top.
  4. Look for the NetTutor in the list of items you can add to your course navigation, drag it into the active items on the top of the list.
  5. Go to the bottom of the list and hit 'Save'

Having trouble connecting to NetTutor?

Below are the minimum requirements for accessing NetTutor.

  • Minimum Browser: An HTML5-compatible browser (Internet Explorer 10+, Chrome 28+, Firefox 28+, Safari 7+)
  • Internet Connection: 56k or greater
  • Security: Make sure cookies are enabled and pop-ups are allowed for www.worldwidewhiteboard.com.
