  • Administration for Community Living (ACL) - From the homepage: "The Administration for Community Living was created around the fundamental principle that older adults and people of all ages with disabilities should be able to live where they choose, with the people they choose, and with the ability to participate fully in their communities." Contains information on Program & Policy Areas, Grants, Data Research & Issues, and more.
  • American Association of People with Disabilities - A national, multiple-disability, nonprofit organization supporting the economic self-sufficiency and political empowerment of Americans with disabilities. Includes a Career Center resource offering professional career opportunities with leading employers. 
  • The Arc - Champions the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and lifelong community inclusion and participation.
  • Assistive Technology Industry Association - A nonprofit membership organization of manufacturers, sellers, and providers of technology-based assistive devices and services covering multiple types of disabilities.
  • Disability Etiquette - A downloadable PDF booklet containing information about thoughtful interaction with people with disabilities, sponsored by the United Spinal Association. 
  • Move United - Provides sports and recreation opportunities to people with a wide range of disabilities, covering a multitude of adaptive sports activities. Their national network spans more than 200 community member organizations and serves those with all types of disabilities, across all ages. 
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness - An alliance of local affiliates and state organizations working at community level to raise awareness and provide support and education to Americans affected by mental illness. Includes descriptions of mental illnesses and medications for treatment.
  • National Association of the Deaf - A national civil rights organization of, by and for Americans who are deaf and hard of hearing. Provides resources for youth, children, and seniors as well as links to American Sign Language, civil rights laws, and education, among many others.
  • National Down Syndrome Society - Supports and advocates for the Down syndrome community by providing links to general and local support, community engagement programs, and political advocacy resources..
  • National Federation of the Blind - Largest membership organization of people who are blind in the United States focusing on advocacy, education, research, technology, and programs and services encouraging independence and self-confidence.
  • Our Ability - Consults with businesses to leverage the successful employment of individuals with disabilities. Provides accessible media, disability education, and employment resources for those with disabilities, among other resources.  
  • Parents Helping Parents - Includes support groups, family and community services, crisis support, early intervention, and assistive technology services for helping parents, family members, and those with special needs.
  • Special Needs Alliance - Connection to multiple legal services for disability and public benefits law for planning for individual with cognitive and physical disabilities.
