Author's Experience

"I'd like to express my thanks to the students and faculty at Norco College. I didn't really know what to expect when you chose my book The Upward Spiral for your 2019 Read 2 Succeed campaign, but I was blown away. I was inspired by the students' enthusiasm for the neuroscience of wellbeing, and the depths with which they engaged with the material. The whole campus seemed to be mobilized in talking about depression and anxiety and what could be done about it. There was a sense of energy and urgency and compassion for students and faculty to improve their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around them. They shared touching stories, asked insightful questions, and eagerly expressed their appreciation for my work. The whole experience was both enjoyable and meaningful."
